Tyres

Post by EVguru »

I've previously recommended Metzler ME22s in the narrower sizes that suit the 250 2C (and 125/250 singles), but they're getting harder to find.

I was looking for a pair of tyres for my Guzzi 250TS at Stafford this weekend and found that Avon introduced a new tyre last year, aimed at lighter/smaller bikes.

Hmm. No chance of them doing a 3.00-18 in race compound I suspect.

They do an 80/90-18 in race compound.

Roadrunner Universal in A30 compound. Got to be better than the ancient Dunlop 2.75 - 3.75 KR825 on the project currently. The Dunlops are no longer made anyway and no Heidenau 2.75 x 18 K45Rs to be had either it seems.

I have fitted Avon Street runners to my 250, they seem fine and good value.
