Moto Morini Corsarino 48cc for sale.
My 48cc Moto Morini Corsarino is up for sale, for no other reason than it's just not getting used. I bought it about five years ago full of good intentions but somehow it just ended up being shoved to the back of the storage unit.
I pulled it out into the daylight yesterday (I'd drained the fuel before storing it away), and checked the oil, which was at the correct level and looked like new. I checked for a spark and it was a good healthy one, put in fresh fuel and it started first kick. It sounded really good although the tappet clearances may need checking. So...
The good bits.
It's a Morini Corsarino.
The less good bits..
Well, it's not one for the purist. It is actually a ZT dressed up to look like a ZZ although it wouldn't be difficult to take it back to standard. The exhaust is a bit sad and droopy and looks like it may be home made but new ones are available here... https://www.brezzisamuele.com/
The top yoke is a bit scabby too, although it would probably polish up o.k. or you could replace it. The throttle and clutch cables are far too long suggesting it may have once had higher bars. The clip-ons need to be pushed right forward to clear the tank. Also, it doesn't have a speedo or the speedo drive unit.
It's not U.K. registered but I gather that as it is under 50cc it doesn't need a NOVA. The only documentation I have is the booklet shown in the photos.
Still, it's a fun little thing to have. I doubt it would do much more than 50mph on the road but would be the one to have for VMCC 'Tiddler' runs or local shows.
I will be taking it to the VMCC Founders Day at Stanford Hall this coming Sunday. It will be on the Morini Riders Club stand with a 'For Sale' sign on it.
If anyone on this Forum wants to snap it up before then I am looking for £1250 and would be willing to deliver it for free within 50 miles of Kenilworth CV8.
I keep getting logged out when I try to post the pictures but maybe I can p.m. them to anyone interested.

Looks great and I’m sure someone will snap it up. Remember, 50 mph is only the UK conversion of the original 80 kph, which sounds (and I’m sure feels) even faster!

Thanks Ming, and you are absolutely right.
At Founders Day today everyone who saw the bike broke out into a smile. In the end a very nice gentleman from Norfolk handed me a wad of cash. A bit less than I was asking for but I'm sure it has gone to a good home.
Jenny.

Well done Jenny! I wasn't so lucky with my bikes. maybe I should try to look/act/dress a bit less like Arthur Daley?
Another Morini sold there as well-the really nicely restored Corsaro 125, for £4000 apparently. This time next year etc.
Does anyone know if the black 500 sold too? I meant to ask how he got on but missed the owner. Looked good value at £3250.

All donations to the rest home for old Camels, Leicestershire.
