Re: side panel knobs
I bought some from Vital Parts a couple of years back and can recommend them. They call them hand wheels.

Re: Cam belts
Thanks George.
Mine have been in a closed box inside another box in the shed so I guess (hope!) they’ll be ok.

Cam belts
I have two new but 4 or 5 year old belts - any opinions on if they can still be safely used?

Hi both.
My atomiser and main jet specs are as you both suggest.
Thanks for the needle info and chart.

Carb slide needles size.
Hi all. Can someone tell me which needles I need for the vhbz carbs I have on my 350K please? I understand there are a variety available that depending on exact size and form will change the way the carb functions but unless there are any pearls of wisdom pointing to a different set up I just want t...

Re: Refinishing old fasteners.
Thanks for all the advice, I think I’ll give it a go with a Gateros kit. Their site has various sizes available, any opinion on what size is suitable for a couple of bike’s worth of fasteners? Also, if one doesn’t buy their 12v power supply how is one to connect it up - to a battery? Hope your recen...

Refinishing old fasteners.
Looking at all the rusting but otherwise sound nuts bolts and washers on my otherwise very tidy Sport, I’m wondering about a diy plating kit.
Any opinions regarding viability and what type of plating is best (zinc seems to be the default and cadmium frowned on these days)?

Re: Cylinder compression test
Well I did the test with no carbs fitted at all so I guess there was enough air getting in!

Re: Cylinder compression test
Cheers John.
Sounds like good advice. I’ll double check the valve clearances, bolt it back together and take it for a spin.

Cylinder compression test
Prepping a 3.5K1 with a view to getting it up and running. Carbs clean, new jets etc, and thought I’d do a compression test as a matter of interest as I have little idea of its mileage although it has done a few miles since I got it. The first time both came out around 10 bar but the second time aro...

Hi all. Can anybody tell me how to get the carb floats out? Is the pin threaded anywhere or is it just pressed in; there’s not much to get hold of and I don’t want to damage anything by being ham fisted (something I can be quite good at) :D I’d like to clean them ultrasonically but not sure I can tr...
