Re: Steering lock
Thanks, maybe I should try and remove it first to make sure, any tips to remove it ? I have no keys Thanks barney I used the Guzzi lock in my '77 3 1/2 Strada. You could have a locksmith "pick" the lock and make keys. As Norbert wrote, it's a Neiman lock, so keys for a BMW Airhead seat lo...

I can't watch any of his videos, or those of his former associate "The Bearded Mechanic". Please don't judge all of us in the US by him (or our political leaders).

Re: white carb floats?
In my experience (on Guzzis) the white floats are rubbish - in short order they begin to fill with gas. The black ones with the stainless bridge are the best type.

I've used these on vintage Guzzis without means to mount mirrors.

The forks are actually considered undersized on those Guzzis.BumbleBee wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 19:53350 with the same size forks as much bigger bikes, no mystery why they have a good reputation for handling.AntietamClassicCycle wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 13:22 Same size seal as used by Moto Guzzi in the forks of the V7 Sport, 850-T, T3, T4 Convert, etc.

My bike hauler is 2002 T4/Eurovan w/2.8 VR6 and automatic transmission. I wish it was a diesel with manual!
Unfortunately, T5s won't be legal to import to the US for a few more years.

The US market drum-brake 3 1/2 has a front brake switch, I'm surprised it wasn't used on all of them.

Re: Electric fuel tap
The thread size is M16-1.0. In a huge collection of stuff I got from a friend before he passed, I found two electric fuel taps, apparently new in the bag. Unfortunately, neither works when tested on a battery. It could be the diaphragms are so stiff the plunger won't move, although I haven't yet che...
