1976 3 1/2 Sport for Sale

I posted a couple of pics just before Christmas but still needed to finish this off before I could sell. It's now all done - biggest delay was sorting the VAT man and getting the registration completed. All done now and an age related plate is now fitted. MOt was carried out in December but registra...

Re: shock treatment

Hi - I've got some Sebacs that were a replacement set on a Sport that was scrapped a couple of years ago. They look in pretty good condition, no leaking and have red bodies and springs. I'd want £35 + postage. I can take a picture if you are interested.
Cheers

Hi - In case any one is interested I've just posted various spares I no longer require on e-bay. They are all used and most require some refurb - paint, seat cover, seals etc - but may be useful to you. They include side panels, seat, swing arm, headlight and old down-pipes. Warning - Armours downpipes and attitude problem

Just had unvbelievably bad service fr om Armours products in Bournemouth and felt I should warn all to seriously consider whether to buy stainlees down pipes from them. I purchased a set of stainless downpipes for my 3 1/2 and discovered they would not fit as the flange was too big to go through the...

Re: Dual disk 350

Simon - you, sir appear to have a wife and a half! What a top lady. Or maybe she just wants you out in the garage for hours and hours while she does....... Anyway, I acquired my 3 1/2 last year with quite a box of bits from a later twin disc model. Amongst the items I don't need are a pair of front ...

Re: Can't refit spindle through swing arm

Ok - problem solved. And I win this year's dumber than dumb award. When I removed the spindle completely this evening I realised that I had positioned the washer/shim on the inner side of the bush between frame and swing arm not on the outer side. The shoulder on the spindle wouldn't allow it throug...

Re: Can't refit spindle through swing arm

I should beware getting a burr on the spindle where its hitting that troublesome bush.As you say you would expect it to go in without protest. How can be misaligned? Really not sure what's happening - given that its the same spindle that came out from the same bush. I was reluctant to take it apart ...

Re: Can't refit spindle through swing arm

Thanks for your suggestions. The bushes are the originals as they hadn't suffered any obvious wear - so I can only think that it may have a bit of the plastic coating caught up that I didn't clean out - will try again. But if I'm honest, the "persuasion" I've been giving it with the rubber...

Can't refit spindle through swing arm

I've just had the frame, swing arm, stands etc powder coated (and beautiful they look too!) and have started the rebuild. The first thing I'm fitting is the swing arm and I am seriously struggling to get it through the second bush so that I can screw it into place. I'm probably being really thick bu...
