The name on it is Dyno Racing Stepmaster STS 26A.

I've got a Chinese made rev counter on my bike, bought on Ebay a few years ago. It works well and is certainly more accurate than the original item.It is the same width but the mechanism is deeper so would not fit in the original case. The original dial and needle might fit the new unit but I think ...

Only four years after you first asked this Mark, I can say mine are 2.7mm thick so some wear on mine I expect.

Can I ask if you do the clutch spring nuts up fully or back them off a few turns ?

I was hoping it was an electronic rev counter . I guess I will be attempting a repair on mine .
