West Country Windings did a couple for me. Not sure they still do them.
Someone just posted on the Morini FB group that they had just had one done by WCW. "Brilliant service".

Re: Do I have an ignition problem

I was talking about the "ignition coil" of the stator. Normaly it´s the one that is wrapped in a yelloy plasic foil. From this coil goes the gren wire to the boxes under the tank via the central electric port under the right side cover. All the other coils of the stator don´t have any inf...

Boat Inn Jackfield Classic Bike Show

In the past now (yesterday) but this is a welcome addition to the old bike scene since the 'Coalport Hillclimb' stopped. There were three Morinisti there apparently, though I only flagged down one 500 as it was leaving. I was on my Gilera 175 not the Forgotten Error reborn as a road bike. A pity the...

Re: Shelsey Walsh Bike Bonanza

Its on my bucket list. The NHCA offered a Give It A Go entry for this event. There was even a Honda 125 step-through. £100 entry fee though for 3 practice and two timed runs. It was a great success. Loads of spectators so almost certainly will be run again next year. I would have taken part, but at ...

Shelsey Walsh Bike Bonanza

On Saturday 1st July the entry at Shelsley Walsh speed hill climb will be an all bike one. The first for 118 years. No Morinis competing but I shall take a bimble over on the 2C/375 to point and laugh. The engine currently in that got up the hill four times in 2008. Very slowly, getting slowest time...

Aha! One of mine tends to rotate with a rubber washer and if tightened too much loses the earth. I must do that mod.

Re: Noisy clutch?

What they all said. Mine has the WeeVee hex head spring nuts which make life easier, though I found a tool made for old BSAs works reasonably well with the OEM slotted nuts. I'm in Wolverhampton if you want to compare and contrast. The springs standing clear of the plate sounds a bit odd - possibly ...

Re: 350 strada tacho repair

If you really feel a need to know how many rpm it is achieving you could lash on a cheap digital tach/hour meter. A bit of a delay so not to be relied on for 'red lining' but they do work. If its a standard strada i wouldn't worry about the redline As MIke says a mech tacho is a reasonable option a...

Re: Slow warming up

My guess is 42 idle jets, but the experiments with Pollini elbows and filters have muddied the waters. Too cold still to go out and check. I will wait until I'm ready for a warm up ride to do the long overdue oil change. I guessed wrong. 45s Appeal to spare set of PHBH28s - also on 45s. I could swe...

A vacuum pipe which links the two carbs?

If so - yes, as they are probably 'HS' type.

Re: Carb balancing questions

The pattern replacement intakes don't come with a connection hole. The first set that I got from Contact Developments years ago with a set of PHPBB28s came with holes and natty blanking plugs. On the 375/2C currently I just drilled holes and use small stainless set screws to blank them. My Morgan ca...

Re: Slow warming up

After fiddling around with the setting of two 501 with diferent camshafts, exhaust and filter systems at the same time I decided to note the dates with an Edding on the float chambers (needle, notch, atomizer, and the jets). For me the most reliable way while you are looking for a good setting. And...
