Listed in the 500 parts book as Part number 13.04.05 - 13.04.07 I have read of different lengths besides the front/rear difference. The good push rod in my rear cylinder is 207 mm
Thanks Robin

Unfortunately Paddy doesn't do PHBH carbs. He was my first port of call.

Re: Impact wrench
I own a Clark mains one, a lot cheaper than battery and whilst less convenient I use it so infrequently that the inconvenience isn't a big deal (for me). I've not had the need to use this when changing the cam belt though.

Re: white carb floats?
p.s. The Eurocarb website states "If the part number/weight of the type required is shown as no stock the white version with the same part number can be used as an alternative." Hence my assumption about float height.

white carb floats?
I need a replacement carb float for my 500 SEI. Current (presume original) floats are part 9010.1. The black version with metal pivot and float arms. Eurocarb are out of stock but have the alternative white plastic version with the same part number, but the plastic version doesn't have adjustable fl...

Re: Front fork stanchions / front mudguard
Glad to hear you are ok Steve. Depending how bent they may be able to be straightened. I had a frame straightened by motoliner and they did forks too. I think there are other specialists too.
Good luck, see you on Thursday.

Re: LAVERDA JOTA 50th ANNIVERSARY EVENT
Hi Jen, I spoke to the owner of the 500 Morini, he told me he had got it from Denmark. Somebody may know the bike or him ? Unfortunately I’ve forgotten his name but he said he also has a MV Augusta 750S. I was parked in the garden area, red Laverda Jarama sporting a red tank bag. I left just after ...

Re: Rotor refitting help
Word of warning, surprisingly the 500 and 3 1/2 woodruff keys are different sizes. Details in the respective parts books. The 3 1/2 size is widely available, the 500 less so. I ended up lapping an oversize one to fit. Can't check details of correct size, or what I ordered atm as I'm away from home. ...

Wanted: mechanical tacho drive
This is the drive that fits on the end of the cam for later 3 1/2 and 500s (and possibly other models of that era). The connection pin which slots into the end of the cam has parted ways on my 500 SEI. If anyone has one spare, or knows a way of repairing I would be grateful. I will be at the track d...

Re: Morini useage
I bought my current 500 after finishing w**k, so only fun in my life now. I bought my first 500 in 1981 when a student (even more fun then!), but it was stolen and broken. The police caught the gang who stole it and I bought back the recovered parts (most of the bike) and built a bitsa whilst commut...

Re: Wanted - Front caliper top mounting bolt
Must admit, I didn't think about material strength, but casting my mind back 40+ years to when I studied strength of materials, the cast aluminium boss of the fork leg and disk caliper are going to be more prone to fracture than the threaded section of an A4 stainless steal bolt, they aren't that ma...
