in my parts book it's part no 43 05 69 cuscinetto porta corona 20 42 12 which i mistranslated. it actually says "crown-gear bearing"
its the two bearings that sit in what the book calls the Crown gear holder, but i would call the sprocket mounting plate..

Crown Wheel Bearings
I'm changing all my wheel bearings, and the parts book suggests that the bearings in the sprocket carrier need to be "Crown Wheel Bearings". I'm guessing this is because the chain exerts a sideways force on them? Are these bearings a thing? I can't find them at Mdina or at various bearing stockists.

alloy wheels - what is the coating?
My Strada has the grey alloy wheels, and i'd like to get them refinished as its not the nicest shade in the world and there are some chips to the coating and parts where it has flaked off near the hub - I've asked a couple of blaster/powder coaters about this and without seeing them, they've both ...

Are you sure, that stainless esxhaust collars are the adequade material to insert in our heads?
I have a brand new pair of them since years. But building up Dulcinea I decided not to use them. Maybe with ceramic or copper paste it will do, but in my opinion this cobination of material is not the ...

Re: Stainless exhaust collars
Another thing Oli,
As an addition to your rebuild, you mentioned in CBG about M7 nuts and bolts.
DW Middleton stainless sell them, in nyloc too.
Perfectly ok for rocker trunnions and brake torque arms on Sports/Stradas. (Bolt only there to hold torque arm in place on welded on collar).
It's only ...

Stainless exhaust collars
I bought one of these to replace a chromed/bronze one that had to be destroyed to remove it. It only screws in about halfway, and then sticks. I've tried on three different heads, and it's the same on each. My remaining Bronze collar screws in just fine. Do the bronze collars wear, making them ...

Re: speedo drive removal
Hi Ollie
I had my wheels done by AC in Yeovil. They did an excellent job of masking everywhere I asked for (including the speedo drive etc etc) and achieved a very good finish. They spectographically analysed the paint on the rim under the tyre to get the 'correct' colour too.
Thanks! Yeovil ...
