Re: Mass Moto Exhausts

Well I went for it & pretty happy, little bit noisier than I would have liked & the footrest bracket was no good but otherwise a great & easy fit. A whole lot of weight saved & ridding myself of the high level exhausts is a proper bonus, just need to get it up to Dave Woods Racing in...

Re: Rotor refitting help

I think this may be of interest: https://www.mdinaitalia.co.uk/SKU040029020.html Thanks, if all else fails I have some other parts I was planning to order from them in the autumn when I refurb the forks. Does key 3mm wide x 5 mm high x6.5 long sound right? Thanks I'll check, off to an engineering p...

Rotor refitting help

Well it looks like my roadside failure was as a result of the rotor coming loose & sheering off the woodruff(?) key, so a few questions:- 1. what size key do I need to refit? 2. Do I need special tool whilst torquing up? 3. What is the torque setting? Thanks & looking forward to getting back...

Re: Rear shock absorbers - 300mm

Judging by other posts on the forum & my own measurements, something nearer 312mm eye to eye is correct for the 500

What sort of state is your gold one? I'm pondering getting mine refinished but might be cheaper to buy used?

Btw - Tim Clarke is sorted for a front wheel - he borrowed my gold one to sort out his brake issue..

Re: Warning lights........

Tim, I'm pretty sure red light is oil pressure - cable runs from pressure switch on left hand side of crankcase on my 500 & labelled in owners manual as "red light oil pressure"

Edit - just checked the photos on Iconic website, pressure switch & cable are present on your bike.

Thanks all, think I'll down the re-chroming route this autumn to make sure I get the right thing and there is a place in Luton not too far away that has a good rep.

Re: 500 sport marzocchi 35mm fork stanchions

Thanks Jenny but those are a bit spendy compared with re-chroming, new seals, dust boots & clips 👍

That vintage suspension website looks really helpful though, have to see if I can resist buying full nos forks.... going to look at another 500 next week & see what the forks are like on that 🤞

500 sport marzocchi 35mm fork stanchions

After some decent fork stanchions for my 500 sport before I go down the path of having mine re-chromed, alternatively full legs if they have dust boots, brake line clips & don't need new seals. Thanks
