well found problem with bike .it was nothing to do with carburettors at all nothing to do with timing .it was a bloody great big crack in cylinder head .more money to spendi suppose

after putting another pair of refurbished carbs on bike yesterday with standard jetting an same problem going to look at timing to night it has standard ignition an a new cambelt fitted

slides are definitely in the right way bike is very responsive to the throttle . there's 2 ml play in cables .i thought putting another set of carbs on bike would of made a difference but exactly the ame its also running very rich

just recently finished restoring a 350 sport . the bike starts first kick every time without choke carbs have been ultrasonicly cleaned all new filters seals needles an seats an cables fitted. but cant get it to tickover below 1800 revs . i have just fitted another set of carbs of another 350 sport ...

Don't no about atg year. rick Stemp has it.I have just bought the 500 in the picture of rick was a big coincidence to see both bikes . That bike was remarkably comfortable once you wer underway with tank bag fitted .that year in the island tt I went 2 up bit of a tight squeeze for the girlfriend

That's my 350 sport rick from way back in time. Went the factory on that bike .just looking at the padding on the seat gives me the quivers

Just that I have a spare rear stainless mudguard

Are the mudguards the same on the 350 an the 500s

Thanks for that information Steve. I have both systems and didn't no whether to stick with original fitted or try nlms it looks a bit heath Robinson to me
