On the basis that the worst case scenario would be that I'd get some new stanchions, a set of rear sets, a strada top yoke, some refurbished wheels and a stack of spares I stumped up £1k for this nice little project on ebay recently. No. Or at least they weren't originally. What can happen is the stand itself bends, or the frame tube twists where the stand bracket is welded. Usually because people sit on them while the bike is parked or spend ages kickstarting a duff bike while it's on the stand. I'd better have a closer look!

I am wondering, if I have the right sidestand for the bike?
It's very fiddly to kick down and it leans over too far I think?
Are they all like that?
