Re: Rich Mixture
+1 on the choke rubbers also check the other small O rings in the carbs. If you remove the choke plungers and the rubber in the bottom is still soft but as taken the shape of the jet it sits on by using a very small hoked tool you can remove the rubber, "it sits in a lipped recess" without...

Re: '76 Strada....
Yes it can bite a bit that 2LS a mate always wants to ride mine, he will turn up on some twin disc equipped concoction and even with warnings ringing in his ears will manage to lock the front, I have tried chamfering the linings off and so on but no noticeable difference, but you do get used to it a...

Re: '76 Strada....
Armorers silencers can upset the carbs but for some strange reason seem to settle down after a few hundred miles, the front brake lacks feel and as a definite servo effect, 2 fingers are enough and once used to it you can squeal the tyre from any speed the bike will reach but get used to it first or...

Re: Regulator
Below is a link to the beast running with the new regulator, at first with no lights, the regulator seems to be set for about 13.8 volts and hits that at about 2000 rpm then with lights on it gets there at about 3000 revs and seems to balance the load around 2500 rpm ish, works out fine on the road,...

If something electronic is going to fail it often does when hot, I would be tempted to refit the old pickup just to test.

Re: Work in progress
Fog ice n rain as led to going about at 50/60 MPH and 102 MPG. I never got that from my Honda 90 and that would not even reach 50 MPH, after about 150 miles the rock steady tick over as gone to pot, it's now a rather rough 1500 RPM, so off with the float bowls and all looks as new except the little ...

Re: Work in progress
Now on the road, flat spot seems to be disappearing can hardly feel it now it as a bit more acceleration than I remember, but the tyres seem to have gone hard, they don't feel to have a lot of grip, the bike as a quality feel about it compared to bikes of it's age, and is very flexible, it will acce...
