No. Clutch is working fine at the moment but just worried about the consequence of the stud becoming completely detached while I'm riding it .........

Manx GP

Well having broken my duck in 2006 I'm going back this year and would be happy to meet up with any MRC members who are going. Only problem is I'll be on my Guzzi this time  the Morini is a bit poorly. The Italian Motorcycle Owners Club normally meet once during the week and this could be a goo...

I think difficulty in finding neutral when stopped is quite common in 350s and not necessarily a function of the clutch settings.
Not sure about 500/501s but I once had a 501 Coguaro and didn't have any problems in this respect.

You're right the local businesses need to stay in business or we'll have nowhere to stay, but I heard some rumours about v. high Steam Packet prices. Yes I saw the grid markings on the road as I went over them by accident one day. Looked like it would be the kind of mass start 'Real Road Racing' you...

Thanks for the reply but I won't be going this year but currently negotiating with 'er indoors for a return in 2008! Prices for the Centenary TT this year sounded outrageous and smacked of profiteering by those in the tourist industry. Manx GP had a really nice laid back atmosphere anyway. I actuall...

Thanks for all the input. Seems there is a similar thread going on in the 500 forum. Anyway, following a recommendation, I spoke to Hagons in Essex and they seemed happy to skim the chrome off. They need the discs still attached to the wheel as this ensures that the discs end up true to the wheel. C...

Exhaust threads + disc re-con

I have two questions I hope someone can help with. Can anyone recommend a company to recondition cylinder head exhaust threads? How much does it cost? I have a front disc that would probably benefit from skimming down to the base metal (chrome has come off at one part making them a bit 'grabby'). Ha...

I have the same problem.
Has anyone tried this yet or made an enquiry to a company?
Is there anything bettter on the market which replaces the existing swing arm bushes design (e.g. different material)?

To: All who are interested. I'm a bit late posting this, but a couple of months ago I took the damn thing up to NLM one Saturday to see what they could find (MOT was due anyway!). Alex scratched his head for a fair while and tried several things one at a time taking it for test rides after each try ...

Coguaro problem HELP!!!

Checked airbox at the weekend and indeed it was not fitted together properly with a big gap where the cylindrical part joins the box that splits to the two carbs. However I also found that some bits of the internals were missing compared to an exploded diagram I have. The filter is there but nothing...

Steve Thanks for the tip I'll try that next. I haven't worked on the problem for a couple of months now (preparing my 3 1/2 for the Manx GP trip). Someone else also advised checking the airbox internals to make sure nothing had moved so maybe this is the answer........... What do you think would hap...

Coguaro problem

Hi Craig Thanks for this I'll give your suggestions a go (but warn the neighbours this time!). My 501 has handlebar mounted choke lever but not sure if this is standard. I have a copy of a copy of a copy of a owners manual with some service data (including wiring diagram). If you like I can post a c...

Coguaro Problem

Hi Rich - can you rev through when its in neutral? No I still get the same problem. I attached some vacuum gauges at the weekend and revved past 5000 stationary (frightened the neighbours!). The gauge on the front pot dropped as the engine note faltered so I think I've at least narrowed the search ...
