Re: morini clip-on

Cheers for that!!-never seen one of those before, I'll look it up-but don't go down that road, these "things" are neither "fish nor fowl!" It is probably made by Franco Morini the one who made all the small "stuff"-I wonder if he regrets getting mixed up with the new ve...

Re: Suitability of 500 for touring

Missed all this as I have been away in Italy-but not on my Morini!!-Been to Italy twice on my 500-and to Germany 2 up with "the dearly beloved" and camping gear-when I camp I have bee accused of taking "the kitchen sink!' It will hold 70m.ph. 2 up-but 60 I find more comfortable on a s...

I've been wandering about in France on my other "vee twin"-I'm out of touch! Is Morini really "finished? or does the saga continue, Chris? :?: :?:

Re: Exhaust Heat Shield

What do you mean, Chris? "a friendly bunch in the main?" we are all lovely!!-not like some clubs that do nothing but "hiss" at one another! I too have fitted "Givi's" to my 500-at least they are "made in Italy" and stored in Daventry where I have my abode. :lo...

Re: 500 barrles off in the frame ?

I thought it did not sound toooo good when you left my place ! No warranty given on old second hand parts-not even used by yours truly! It's good news you can get the rear barrel off by removing a stud to pull the barrel out sideways. You can be "the guinea pig" with Nigel's new pistons!- ...

Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself

Wow!!It must be spring! all of a sudden the forum has "come alive!" I've only been around for I think 10 or 12 years or so-I'm infamous for long continental trips on my other Vee twin-a Vincent and sidecar-but have been down to Italy twice on my Morini 500, travelled quite a bit on my Kang...

Re: What is this in my tank?

It is without a shadow of doubt a lead free additive "thingy"! I put one in one morini years ago and nothing in another Morini to "do' a scientific test!-the conclusion was the additive was a waste of money!

Re: electric switchgear

I HAVE PUT MORE MODERN SWITCHGEAR ON MY OLD "BRIT" BIKES-IF YOU HAVE INDICATORS WITH OLD SWITCHES YOU NEED 2 HANDS AT ONCE! THE LATER BLACK MORINI SWITCHES ARE O.K.-BUT EASY TO OVER CORRECT THE INDICATORS! {sorry about the Capitals!]
