Which Camel, 500 or 501? 501s have steel tanks but most 500s have fibreglass tanks, If so it could be an ethanol fuel issue with the slides becoming coated and sticky? I also like the black/metal type but over the years I've had no problems with the white plastic version which have a metal tab for adjustment

It developed into a lovely day, but initially I got very wet on my way there from south west Wales

Hi Clark, sorry I don't know where you will find a CEV rubber headshell (void of any part number). Like the rear light rubber mount they never turn up for sale. The NVT Rambler used the same headlight but the shell had an additional hole for a switch. The light unit is 140mm/5 1/2" and a 5 3/4&...
