Re: Modern 350s
In my youth I purchased an over priced enfield bullet 50s redditch one, I hadn't got onto the bhp thing , so methinks 350cc must be fast it's bigger than a 125 etc how disappointed I was when I ragged the life out of it and blew the big end , a crock of shit was now mine, holding back the tears I re...

Re: speedo drive removal
I was told by a very knowing morini owner not to attempt to remove the speedo drive as i would prob damage it in the process I asked him if he could remove it and the second word was off , the wheel had been painted with a matt black exhaust paint, nice! Elbow grease and wet and dry was the order of...

Re: Low compression 3 1/2
Yea your right george they are sunk in the depths a bit , it's been at least five years since the plugs were out , but still running sweet , you get the idea, the sentiment is well placed unlike my long plug spanner. Tuto gas . Muller .

Re: Low compression 3 1/2
Back street test, have you removed the plugs and kicked the bike over with your thumb over the plug hole it should be obvious if compression is low , should be able to feel the cylinder pressure I could be way off the mark here but have you checked the clutch isn't slipping when you kick the bike ov...

Re: Engine cover finish
When I rebuilt the engine I had all the casings blasted to remove all the black factory paint finish which looked awful to be honest and left it all alloy which is not correct I know for the year but it looked to good to paint in my opinion , if it's originality your going for maybe it's worth takin...

Re: Performance issue
The ducati electronica pick up which I have on mine, moves as one , does the nlm set up have two pick ups like having two sets of points if you follow me , giving the option of timing the front and rear pots separately can only think this is the case , never really give it a thought till now interes...

Re: Performance issue
Firstly, great looking bike! I have got a two into one system on mine and K and N filters - and the bike performs pretty good. The only difference is that my bike has the original ignition system on. If all else fails, it may be worth considering trying the old set up - if you still have the parts t...

Re: Ht leads
Thanks will take note , got the ht leads out with no damage thankfully sprayed a bit of wd40 in there it helped to shift the rust build up in there , forty years is a long time and to be fair they are still useable but will replace . Just shows morini electrics are not as bad as the bike magazines k...

Ht leads
Looking at the bike and thought I would change the ht leads they are the originals by the look of it they are really tight in the transducers , I presume they twist onto the screw in the transducer not wanting to force it but as if super glued in , are the copper ht leads standard size eg like the o...

Side stand question
Iam looking to fit a side stand off a honda 250n to the sport not sure if it will workout , but it looks similar, have noticed on the morini frame the inside hole is smaller than the outer one on the frame lug , does the bolt thread into the frame and is it a special type bolt for the side stand any...
