Re: CEV 206 Handlebar Switch for Kanguro Wanted
Hi Pete Hope you are keeping well and safe. Thanks for looking for a handlebar switch for me, I am resurrecting a 350 Strada that has some non standard (for 1974) indicators fitted, so looking for a period style switch that incorporates a light switch (Pilot/Headlamp and OFF) plus dip and high beam ...

Re: Starter Motor Brushes
Hi Bruce, you will find that motor brushes are easily sanded down on the side of a grinding wheel, they are pretty soft. Ian

CEV 206 Handlebar Switch for Kanguro Wanted
Happy New Year to all. I am looking for a switch for the left handlebar of an X1 Kanguro, the type that combines headlamp on-off, dip and high beam and also indicators, horn etc. CEV type 206. Hoping someone can help as these switches are available from Italy but with Covid the postal disruption for...

Re: Three years later, still having problems with idle
Having read back over this thread and three failures related to the rear cylinder I would check that the bore of the rear cylinder barrel is square with the barrel flange face that mates to the crankcase. If the re-linering and cylinder boring is not carried out correctly by referencing the operatio...

Re: Shed clearance treasure.
If Hendre decides he does not want the carb inlet elbows without one of the locking rings then I would be interested.

Many thanks Hendre, I was trying to remove them as an assembly - your method worked well.

Instrument removal technique
Does anyone have any tips on the best method to remove the Strada instruments from the metal plate that they sit in, each surrounded by a rubber "thing" that I assume might be a bit fragile.
Many thanks, Ian

Re: X1 Silencer
Hi Chris Many thanks for the photo of your MM62 - I also modified my silencer and it is a bit quieter now - I put a circular disc in front of the inner pipe and supported it with 4 radial webs, photo attached. Although non standard, the bark has been subdued to a more acceptable level. Best regards ...

Re: Kanguro X1 Centre Stand Wanted Please
Hi Pete
Glad to see you are located in Uckfield, I live near Battle. When the weather improves perhaps I could take a ride over to you so that we can check it out.
Drop me a PM if this will work out for you

Kanguro X1 Centre Stand Wanted Please
Does anyone have a centre stand for a Kanguro X1 that they might want to sell. If not, maybe I could borrow one to make a copy.
Many thanks, Ian

X1 Silencer
The silencer on my X1 is a little too loud, it is a Lanfranconi MM62 so a standard one for 1983, but it looks as if the end has been drilled out so I am hoping to make up a replacement end as per the standard arrangement. Does anyone have a photograph and description of the end of an MM62 please? Ma...

Tom
Thanks for checking the headlamp glass number for me.
On another question, is there a source to obtain a spare ignition key? My existing one is a CEV one with a number on it
Thanks

Re: All sorts of bits
Hello Tom
Does the headlamp have a glass marked CEV 244 in it?
My X1 glass is cracked so looking for a replacement glass if possible.
Best regards
Ian
