Does anyone have any tips on the best method to remove the Strada instruments from the metal plate that they sit in, each surrounded by a rubber "thing" that I assume might be a bit fragile.

Hi Chris Many thanks for the photo of your MM62 - I also modified my silencer and it is a bit quieter now - I put a circular disc in front of the inner pipe and supported it with 4 radial webs, photo attached. Although non standard, the bark has been subdued to a more acceptable level. Best regards ...

The silencer on my X1 is a little too loud, it is a Lanfranconi MM62 so a standard one for 1983, but it looks as if the end has been drilled out so I am hoping to make up a replacement end as per the standard arrangement. My X1 glass is cracked so looking for a replacement glass if possible.
