Re: New Upgrade Day
Looking good, I dropped my forks off last week with Teut.
A worthwhile investment, I was not aware that only one leg operates as a dampener

Re: Rectifier
Hi Yes thanks for info, I have just fitted a shendigen mosfet one from a Ducati 1000 eBay job , what model number / bike spec was yours just so I know I have one that is ok, it gets quite warm like the old( electrex one) quickly, obviously alternator dumping lots of amps. I have also ordered over th...

Re: Rectifier
Hi Yes I believe so, my old 900 ss and elefants all toasted the input connector block from the alternator, my Gp has been updated with a bigger 10mm spade connectors, no sign of resistance or burning. The rectifier was the worst I have seen in all my years, it was an electrex replacement, but it’s i...

Rectifier
Hi all, That maybe only be 12 of us in the Uk but it’s important to keep our GP s going. I have used mine occasionally through this last winter, which has been hard work , liberal use of ACF 50 and hosing off the Salt after every ride. A few weeks ago after a trip to see my granddaughter, I could sm...

Re: GP Newbie
I have used TW suspension in the past for nitron cartridges for my R9t , it’s a small very Speacilists company run by the very experienced and nice guy Teut Wiehn, I would give him a ring first before you buy the Adriani kit.
He is based in Preston .

Re: GP Newbie
Please let me know what difference the cartridges make, I have a set of cosaro fork bottoms with compression rebound adjustment , I was going to fit these these. I bought your bike in 2015 and rescued it as it had not been used much from new, it only had 6k on the clock, but had been used in the win...

Re: ducati desert X/GP
Hi Chris
Thanks for the update, let’s hope it’s not an over weight adventure bike, it would be good to keep the trellis frame with the motor, such a wonderful combination.
I am hopeful as it would be good to update my bike at some point in the future.

ducati desert X/GP
Has anyone ridden a desert X, its looks on paper to be similar weight as the Gp, I still think the GP is hard to beat and that includes the current new crop of adventure bikes, and thats quite a few. I did see somewhere that Morini are looking to reintroduce a new GP WITH THE VEE MOTOR. There Xcape ...

Re: Gran passo / desert X
it’s now two years since I returned to GP ownership, still very reliable and fun, the new Desert x is close to it on paper, but not as well made , belt drive motor/ I had booked a test ride on one for today, but have had to cancel it. I have no plans to replace or sell the GP , just curious as I hav...

Re: High mileage
Hi
I agree these are really well engineered bikes, I doubt you would get issues with bore wear this side of 100k . It all depends on price, how many are out there etc
