Re: 500 sport
Thanks Steve. Have already had a discussion with vendor who is embarrassed by the situation and seems to be prepared to play fair. I had a stuck xs650 I imported but had to resort to a large aluminium drift to free it up. I'll try the usual recipe of diesel and atf down the plug holes for a week or ...

Re: Kanguro
The malaise runs a little deeper. Even with a 6v battery connected everything is dead. Is/should there be a fuse buried somewhere? Bike was stored with key in ignition and I'm wondering If damp has migrated into ignition at base of lock, everywhere dead as ignition is effectively permanently "o...

Re: Kanguro
Being unfamiliar with both Moto Morinis in general and the Kanguro even more so, after the first of significant help. I have no apparent spark. Does anyone have a Kanguro wiring diagram please. I believe generally MM do not need a battery to power the ignition, is this true for the kanguro. Any obvi...
500 sport
Well she's arrived and is indeed rough as described, but engine is seized and was told it was free, bugger!
It's so lovely and light, will be a joy.
Guess when the time arrives it will be a full engine rebuild, just can't take the risk.
Would attach photo but site limit exceeded!

Well she's arrived and yes it's plastic tank, but looks designed for it and will be good for long distance trials, engine turns over and generally looks complete. Must finish some existing projects before I get carried away! Nice paoli remote reservoir shock, feels in good order. Would post photo bu...

500 sidepanel badges
Don't you just hate it when you find what you want and you forget to bookmark the Web page!
Despite re googling all word variants I can't find the Italian website doing metal replica side panel badges. Don't suppose someone can put me out of my misery?
Thanks for any leads. Ian

Plastic tank
The Spanish dealer I'm buying my Kanguro X1 from says it has a plastic tank, is this usual or perhaps only for non-UK bikes? Thanks for any insights

I have just completed the deal to import both a Kanguro and 500 from Spain, yes the ones on carandclassic. Should be with me within 2 weeks, both non runners but been ked to believe Kanguro is an easy restore, 500 much more of a medium term project. Let's hope I haven't been too optimistic about the...

Re: Decals
Got to convince the good lady to let me import from Spain, but she's a good egg and I'll win her over, then I'm more than game for some ride outs. Likely to bring in a 500 more severe restoration for fun!
Go out with my mate on my ktm250 and as you say lovely trails around here.

Decals
Costing up restoring a Kanguro X, and wondered if anyone can tell me if the decals are lacquered over or just applied to the plastics, obviously the latter makes replacement much easier. Thanks for any advise.
