Re: Tre mezzo and 500 section
I was involved on a similar small site in re-ordering posts into more logical sections some years ago. it took quite a long time to decide how to order the sections (mechanicals, electricals, chassis, etc?), but we decided on model designation. Even that involved a great deal of voluntary work. Had ...

Re: Do I have an ignition problem
Perhaps they were very ill, perhaps the proprietor, perhaps your stator was at the lower end of a list of things that needed doing?

Re: Sump plug
I find I have several sump plugs in my odds and ends box, all are M22 x 1.25. You could have one, but I suspect p&p would come to more than a new UK one!

Apparently most roads in the UK are now surfaced with holes, DD.

Re: Moto Morini Corsarino 48cc for sale.
Looks great and I’m sure someone will snap it up. Remember, 50 mph is only the UK conversion of the original 80 kph, which sounds (and I’m sure feels) even faster!

Re: Jetting issue?
Source coil resistance is only an approximate indication of the state of the coil, as said many times on other posts. If it is still the original winding its a definite suspect. Also the measurement is carried out with the coil disconnected and not kicked over.

Re: Jetting issue?
FWIW I never used a strobe on the ignition on any of my Morinis, just set static timing to the mark. Likewise carbs were tuned (ahem) by ear or wires under the slides. I did change a couple of choke rubber discs. I think your carb problem might turn out to be ignition related. Even a badly set up ca...

Odds and ends
Hi all. Well, I've sold my last Morini (the 250) and am left with sundry spares accumulated over the last 20 odd years. I'll try to do a more comprehensive list of bits once the weather cools down over here and the barn becomes habitable again, but I do know that there's a 350 centre stand, a primar...

The Dellorto manual (look online) shows how to check float levels.

Re: CDI mal function ?
If you connect the battery into the CDI circuit, you will probably fry the system. It is powered entirely by the "magneto" coil on the stator. The Dutch Moto Morini Club's site can be easily found on the internet - but it's https://motomoriniclub.nl/ You may also be able to identify what &...

Re: CDI mal function ?
Look on the Dutch club site for the diagram. Any exposure to battery volts is a no no. Check all your earth points as well.

Re: Primarily gear sprocket
I have two used sprockets in my odds and ends box. Both 14 teeth. One is a 14*1187, splined mount, the other a 14*1170 'oval' mount. If either is of use they are available.

Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself
Welcome. Best advice from me is to drain both oil and petrol, renew the cam belt and investigate the lack of spark before spending on an expensive new system - the OE ignition is fine when working but can be disabled by a faulty earth, a degraded source coil, or other well-documented problems.
