I managed with a cut down key - but realistically, how often do you need to check tappets?

I know you can get to the front cover rear bolt on some with the cylindrical air filter but on mine there is not enough room. If there was a little access groove in the airbox it would help.
I checked the tappets twice in the time I have had this Coguaro and the odometer has gone from 28 to 43 Km. I am only really concerned with a tight tappet but thus far no changes.
I have a new air filter anyway so might bite the bullet. There’s only about 22 bolts and fairing screws to undo before removing the tank.

You lot don’t know you’re born!

Try doing anything on a 501 engined Dart and then you’ll know 😅

Travelling that much I´ve allways tried to reduce the space ocuopied by tools.
I highly recomend this little hatchet Mini Zyklop from Wera/Forch. It´s a bit expensive but high quality and worth ervery cent!

The bits enter directly and with an adapter you can use the "nuts" you want. I´ve solderd a useless 6,5 nut in an old spark plug key. With this you can even reach the rear plugs of a 501 Camel. And I´ve still not found a "lower" tool to take out the screws of the rocker cases.

I absolutely agree with you Norbert!

I followed this advice of yours a while back and bought myself a wera tool check plus zyklop kit. It is incredibly nice to use and as you say, very compact.

A Knipex pliers wrench ( 150) is no bad thing to carry either.
