Angel eyes.

Post by ogr1 »

Well not the real McCoy, but close enough.
They are very bright, but not eye blindingly so.
Wired up via the front auxiliary light with built in resistors. If I remember correctly they are 90mm diameter & sit just inside the headlight shroud & then clear siliconed into place. You have to take both headlight covers off for a secure fit. If they go south.? Then the silicone will easily peel off & no permanent damage caused to the covers, unlike hot glue.
Not to everyone's taste, but I've noticed that the cage drivers are very aware of my presence on the road.

Cool I haven’t got a front dry or parking light so I might do this. Where did you get them from?

Hi.
Purchased mine from AliExpress, but fleabay & Wish
sell them too. Now come in different colours. Amber would look even better imo.
Example...

My mistake they are 80mm outer diameter.
Auxiliary lights from..

Bracket off fleabay, initially for a cruiser type bike.
Flip it 180° to fit, no huge mods needed other than
I had to bend the tangs & fit smaller clamps to those, otherwise the lights would be pointing downwards.
In hindsight I could have cut the tangs off and bought these smaller clamps.

I’ve bought some amber and white angel eyes but haven’t got them fitted yet they are white when powered and when the indicator comes on the white goes off for 2 seconds so stays off until the indicator is finished. I will post a video when I get them on. Did you have to cut down the thickness to get them behind the housing?

Hi...
I cut the plastic clips off the inner part of the ring, otherwise they won't sit flush.
Take the light housing off & just silicone the eyes onto the lip of the housing. You haven't a lot of wiggle room.
When they are dry, flip over the housing and fix a small bead of silicone inside to seal the edges & make water tight.

Hi...
A screen shot usually compresses the image enough to upload.

How is the centre stand prototype coming along?

I give up. Every time I try to reduce the size it gets bigger. I hate computers

Ahhh! The penny has dropped.
Very good & where did you purchase those?
I may change mine seeing as the original indicators seem a bit weak.
