noticed that the later clutch alloy casing cover has a sound deadening plate (large disc) fitted inside , which the earlier models didn't have. Must have been an attempt to cut down on mechanical noise. Looks a bit like a metal saucer slightly concave.
Another thing i didn't realise was that the crankcases are predrilled and tapped to accept two sizes of starter motor. The larger size (about 1/2 inch longer in length) for the corsaro and the smaller size for the scrambler and i assume the avio etc.
Obviously the larger starter is due to the increased compression on the corsaro or veloce.
