Heel Plates

Post by unbelievable »

Has anyone got carbon fibre heel plates? Mine are looking a bit scruffy already so I might get some. I've just spotted on another forum that this place will make parts up for you if you give them an original to use as a mould. I might be riding around with a melted right boot and my left boot sawn in two very soon :D

Are Morini the only suppliers of carbon fibre parts for the Veloce?

I had a problem with the left one, as it would bend easily from pressure of my heel. Obviously once bent, there was no way to fix it. I found the whole piece way to flimsy, so I had a new one made in machined aluminium, nearly 5mm thick! Looks nice, and there is no way in hell that one is going to break or bend.

As for the right one, it is a bit scuffed, but I don't mind because it is solid enough to serve its purpose. I never had a problem with a bike looking like it is used, so I am leaving that one.
