Well it was not as dramatic as it could have been. Blooming big hole in my rear Diablo tyre it went down instantly. I was thankfully ahead of all cars and lorries when the rear started to weave and then it tried coming round on me. I first thoght it was that high speed slight wobble i get on mine as i sit far forward being 11st,70kgs and 5ft 7'. Then It got instantly worse nearly forcing me in the slower lane, i hit the hazards button which took an age to find, all I was thinking about was the traffic catching me although I was still traveling quickly.
Grabbing the clutch I safely slowed due to the rear tyre drag and was on the road side. Christ I coud'nt push it so had to get it to the layby 200-300 metres away on tick over walking next to it.
F knows what the outcome would have been if it was the front makes me think hard about kerbing my speed. Im not a nut or anything I would say a fast safe rider. Bike looked great on the recovery truck. looked like a wild animal being strapped down.

Be safe ride with in your limits which is hard on this machine if you like twisting your right hand a little too much!

Well that was some experience, motorway?
Glad you made it without harm, was the bike damaged, Hugger?
Do you know what caused it yet, a puncture or a tyre failure?
Was it a tyre you had fitted or one that came with the bike? Can never tell whats been going on with the PO or whoever.
Must mean Morinis are pretty stable though.

Well it was a roofing nail I think it was a big hole. It went down instantly. I was on a local dual carraige way, i was errrm tanking it along too. Its the original Perelli diablo tyre which was starting to square off. No damage just my pride sitting in the trees waiting for recovery watching the world go by.
I had to wait until I could get a kit for my ABBA stand to use it on my Corsaro before removing the rear wheel.
One thing I did notice it was easy to control, so yes they are stable.
When changing the tyre over my chain was very stiff, I could barely move its links, I always lubricate chains well too. It had done may be 4-600 miles since last lubriation(not done by me). I lubriacted it and by good what a difference easier to push and so much more responsive too. I will lubricate it more often, it may even be better long term to upgared the chain. But for now lots of lube will do leave it over rnight and it minimises the dreaded fling. Mynew rear tyre is a Perelli Rosso II.

Same thing happened to me yesterday on the A36, big hole in middle of rear tyre and recovery back home. First I knew was when the rear started to seriously squirm around. Now to get a replacement tyre.
