convert a strada engine to sport engine

hi. i have a 1980 strada engine in boxes.
when i rebuild the engine can i/ how do i/ make it into a sport engine

The pistons have a higher crown to raise the compression ratio. The camshaft is different and the jets and atomisers in the carburettors are different. That's it. Good luck finding the parts.

Is it the extra performance that you're looking for?

If you can't source the Sport parts, you could go for a 370cc piston kit and an L5 camshaft.

You could have your existing Strada cam re-profiled to L5 or Sport spec by myself or Paul Compton (EVguru).

Unfortunately the cost starts to get a bit much, probably around Â£400, and if you're just riding on the road it may not be worth it.
