got a 1982 350 strada ,got a problem with the rear wheel ,ive got movement in the wheel it rock's when you grip it at the top and bottom of the wheel. nearly had me off when i went for a ride rang NLM they were mistified did not feel safe to ride it downto them live 90 miles away ,so tuke the wheel spacerand axcel down to them in car new wheel bearings and spacer it's better but still a small amount off movement .is that normal?? ,any ideas

No.Should not be anymovement -if there is it will feel horrible to ride,you'll feel like you are wandering across the road. possibilities that come to mind include swing arm bearing failing causing you to feel movement in the wheel,a damaged hub causing the wheel bearings to be loose.

I had a similar prob on my sport it turned out to be the bearing in the sprocket carrier , and not the wheel bearings , but as suggested check swing arm bushes first, hope you get it sorted.

thanks guy's for the info had new swing arm bushes done last year at NLM ,i'll have a look at the cush drive bearing's today .i'll let you all know what i find

I know you took the spindle with you but it's not loose in the bearings is it?

Check the bearing in the wheel. My don's DT had that problem. Fixed with bearing glue

hopefully sorted it the bearing was not a realy tight fit in the whee
lwhen it was fully seated ,lock tight bearing fit seems to have sorted it !!.thanks for all the sugestions track day here i come see you there ?
