Evening all
I’d hoped to find a Dellorto diagram to tell me where the pilot jets are situated but no luck so could anyone point me to the right area? My reasons are to establish if they’re 50s and, if so, what I should try reducing them to, to help with the little ‘cough’ when setting off or around 4,000 RPM when riding. Any other tips most welcome!

When you take the float bowl off, the main jet will be still in the brass nut that held the float bowl in place, the one with the 14mm hex head. Then if you look just behind the threaded hole where that float bowl retainer was there is a round headed jet with a screwdriver slot in it, like the main jet one but slightly smaller. It is just a little higher up in there and may be a little hidden from view by the float hanging down. Try not to disturb or damage the float when you use your screw driver to remove the pilot jet. Once it's out you should see a size stamped in the top of the head. 50 was standard and many people have found an improvement by trying 45 or sometimes 43 instead. To help when ordering the replacements they are a 5mm thread and the main jet is 6mm.
