Fork stanchions - Strada v. Sport?

Now I know that Morini used both Paioli and Marzocchi forks for the 350's back in the 70's (and did they use any other suppliers?), but does anyone know if the stanchions are interchangeable?

I'm thinking of using the 1975 Strada rolling chassis I have for sale but the Strada stanchions are rusty and may not be suitable for rechroming. I do have a nice pair of 1977 single disc-cast wheel Sport stanchions & internals I tucked away for spares for my Sport and I'd like to know if the drum brake fork lowers would fit (& work!) on the Sport stanchions. Does anyone know?
