Thanks for that, Alan. Looks like the way forward for me at last. The bike is horrible to ride at the moment; OK on the move, but you know that you are going to have to stop at some time. Can't be doing the forks much good either, but my main concern is rider comfort!

Know it’s an old thread, but guess the topic aren’t :D
Is there any problem going with a thinner disc? The semi-floating ones, I can source, seems to be only 4mm thick vs. the original 6mm.

Paz2112 ref front brake master cylinder alternatives. I use a Triumph Sprint ST 955i front brake master cylinder ( other Hinckley models also fit ) which I got for 22 quid off eBay. Transforms the front brake action. Also use one on my Laverda triple.
