This is just a heads up, I just got my seat back from Leighton's, being recovered. They did an fab job, turned around in 10 days, perfect logo stencilled, foam recut, cover perfect. I just wanted to up a really good service in a world of mediocrity.

Hi, who are Leightons?? do they have a website , phone no?
My seat needs a refurb. not sure whether to get it refurbed or treat the bike to one of those bumstop seats, they are about £120 from NLM.

Re: seat recover
I had a Honda seat done by them years ago and it was perfect. This spring they did my Ariel SQ4 seat for me, again perfect.

Thats what I did NLM seats look good and are very comfy as well. By the time you have done everything else to the seat you may as well replace.chirpy999 wrote:Hi, who are Leightons?? do they have a website , phone no?

Leightons did mine a couple of years ago (bum stop type) - cleaned up and powder coated the base, new foam and fabric with perfect logo and still fine now about 3k miles on. Cost was about £70 I recall (collected, paid cash) and turnround rapid. Not a large place (close to Bham centre) but not really worth looking elsewhere for a rebuilt bike seat of whatever sort in my view.
