Resistance

Post by unreal »

Hi all, I apologise for all these questions, I'm doing a lot stuff I haven't done before!

I'm putting the loom back on, I've replaced any obviously dodgy wires, but what resistance should I be getting on a sound connection, seem to be getting around 1 ohm through the wires I've tested and 0.8 through the frame earths.

Is that within acceptable parameters?

I know I should have listened harder in my physics classes forty years ago...

cant say i know the answer to that one , but had to a bit work on the wiring make sure all the earths to frame are clean and tight same with all spade connections and everything should be fine.

What resistance do you get from your meter leads?

Hi Paul, I think you've opened my eyes to the obvious...
Just borrowed a digital meter and realised I'm getting 0.6 on the meter cables and 0.6/0.7 on the loom and earths, so that looks good to me. As I said a lot of this is a learning curve for me, but hey, that's what makes it interesting!

Thanks for the input.
