Red or RAL3020

Post by Monstyr »

I've dropped off my frame, swingarm, centrestand and sidestand to be recoated a nich shiney red.
However, when I was there I only had a ral chart to go on so have chosen RAL 3020 Traffic red and will eventually get the tank and side panels to match this colour.
I have a suspicion this may appear a bit too bright had to make a decision to get the job going, (I could phone in a change though).
In my head I was thinking of my red Ducati sportclassic, thats 'anniversary red' like most recent Ducatis but the workshop didn't know anything outwith their own colour charts.
To be honest it wont be a big problem and it will be miles better than the orange colour that was on it, but if anyone has a Ral chart colour that corresponds to the original Morini red I like to know what it is.

Personally I like it and think it would be fine for an early 31/2- and easy to match in future. As you can see from my K2 in the background 'Morini red' went through a fair range over the various models/years so its what works for you and your bike. Lets see some photos when its done !
