Sport front drum

Hi all.
Whilst fettling I notice one side of my double drum is quite badly scored.

So I was wondering if any one has had these skimmed and how much it would cost?
Also if they can be relined if it's to far gone.
The other thing I thought of was that now AJS sell 230mm Grimeca brakes whether they just sell the hub and if it's the same. The dimensions look the same but with TLS brake plates (which I wouldn't need).

Hi,

I've not had the drum on my bike skimmed or re-lined, but there are people out there that can do it. If you're still looking let me know and I can look for contact names etc.

Thanks for the offer, I still have lots of other jobs! If I draw a blank I'll get back to you.

This is the kind of fellowship that makes MRC tick, thanks!

Thanks Paul, interesting outfit, unfortunately the problem I have is actually the hub it's self which is scored rather than the shoes. Hopefully there's enough meat left to skim it.

my pleasure.

ps, I even noticed in a bike mag recently that a chap had the facility to skim a drum as a complete wheel assy. This sounds good to me, if I understood it correctly.
