So are 41 others Martin, so if anyone is thinking about joining us on 15th June you best enter soon.
Places are filling up quickly again this year .
We will always endeavour to find space for a Morini, whether they are in or outside the club, but don't put
us to the test. Its our 30th year and we are expecting a special turnout at Cadwell this June.

Now all I have to do is lose some weight so I fit in my one piece leathers again so I don't look like I escaped from a fetish club.

Still dithering as to whether or not to go. I've never been on a trackday and I am concerned about binning my pride and joy.

Hi Neil,

The only question you must ask yourself where can you find a road where all the traffic is all travelling in the same direction and the road surface is smooth and free of pot holes.
You will be riding in the main with club members who also value and treasure their Morini's.
The track will be marshalled by Cadwell staff and all riders will receive a briefing and several sighting laps to prepare them for the day.
Yes you can still fall off but then again you can do this going to the shops.
The best advice that I can give you is to stick to your line and concentrate on your own riding and forget about any other bike on track.
It is a technical circuit with sections that have to be ridden with commitment and purpose.
You will not be the only track day virgin, I was one two years ago, so just enjoy the day and ride to your own limits.

As was saidd earlier you don't need to go flat out.

Just take your time and gradually work up. The most important thing is not to worry about being the slowest there .......cos that'll be me

Hi Neil, get your entry in now! This year's trackday has to be the bargain of the century if you're riding a Morini.

As the Pauls have said, you're not racing, you're just riding your bike. And the MRC trackday doesn't have any of the deranged loons that you might come across on a 'modern' trackday.

And if you do find that it's too much for you, you can just park up and enjoy a lovely day in the Lincolnshire countryside watching and listening to a wonderful variety of classic bikes.

This all new to me...
As I'm coming up from London and intend to put the bike on the trailer, I was thinking of staying over on Thursday night, any suggestions? Is there camping at Cadwell or locally, or B&Bs?

Hi Simon,

Yes there is camping provided at Cadwell, however if you want details of B&B's or hotels in the area I can provide these with your booking confirmation.
Many like yourself will be travelling some distance so staying over is the norm. Where you stay is your own personal choice.
The club will be going out into Louth on the Friday night (transport provided) so you might want to stay over until the Saturday morning and join us for a meal and a few drink.

If anyoone is woried about going to a trackday,this is my experience...
I went last time,my 1st trackday.I rode via the Fosseway which starts in theory round the corner and again In theory should go from one end to the other but something ghastly happens near Leicester.(so no surprises there then). After a sighting lap of Hinkley and Beaumont Leys I was glad to get to Lincolnshire as it's where my lot come from.
I was mindful of it being my only Morini and the need to get home again, which is all the excuse I required to be careful.In spite of road riding since I was 17 i felt like everyone else knew what they were about except me. Not to worry though. I got some good advice from other participants.Some parts of the circuit I felt comfortable with, other bits I never got the hang of but all good stuff.One excursion onto the green material but I think I got away with it.Blooming exciting.
As rain was forecast (correctly) I'd already decided to stay at Sleaford.Bit further from the track perhaps. Up at 4am ( it was daylight) and rode home on clear roads all the way to near Bath where very severe rain all the way back to Exeter caused no issue except for the too short overtrousers syndrome and the worry that no one could see me on the M5. Seemed to get home at 1030, which I thought was pretty good going.

You'll be fine. Ride your own ride and don't worry about people behind you - just concentrate on your lines rather than having to worry about white vans pulling out in front of you.
