Clutch center nut

Any advice on the easiest way to remove the clutch centre nut? I don't have an impact driver of the special tool so assume I'm going to need to acquire one of these. I want to remove the entire engine cover so I can get it painted.

thanks

Bob

will sos need to replace the oil seal as the rear plates had oil on them. The clutch plates were in a terrible state with the friction lining material falling off the plates. Amazed it worked.

The clutch hub holding tool is a couple of old steel clutch plates with a handle.

For the small extra cost I'd always replace all the plates, not just the friction, so you end up with plenty of plates to make the tool.

Paul,

Videos are brilliant, just wish I'd seen them before I'd stared. I've managed to knacker one of the clutch inner studs. I've go a replacement stud on the way from NLM and a friendly machine shop so should be able to salvage it.

Thanks

Rob

good information, explains why I don't have threaded studs, the engine is from a Kanguro.
