Shorter Rear Shock Absorbers

Has anyone fitted shorter rear shock absorbers to reduce seat height and if so what did you use? Mine are 300mm centres and there seems to be enough gap between tyre and mudguard to go down to 275mm I would have thought.

Hi.
Morini's are borderline for ground clearance as it is, especially the centre stand arm! My srand arm is well chamfered as is the right hand footrest. Going shorter will make this far worse. Another issue would be getting shorter units - 295/300 units are about as short as you can normally get. Another issue would be fork rake angle being compromised. As for getting the bike on it's centre stand...
If you really need lower for personal reasons, then perhaps it would be best to look for an Excalibur or New York which were designed with a lower seat height?

I would redo the seat so it is about 20mm lower...
