Hello -simple one that I should probably know the answer to already -front heads been off to get the exhaust thread done - if its not been disturbed should i still lift the cylinder and replace the base gasket as well as the head as its all with the same bolts or should it be OK - thanks Duncan

Last time I had to swap a head for the same reason I didn't change the base gasket. Should be fine as long as you don't turn the engine over while the head is off.
