fork seals

can anyone tell me the sizes of fork seals for my 1978 3-1/2 sport. if i have the sizes i may be able to find them locally from a seal/bearing company

Sorry, can't help you with the size. I ordered ones for my 500 from NLM.
You may be surprised to find you need 4 seals, or at least my 500 did. 2 per leg stacked above each other.
I don't know if 2 per side is really necessary nowadays. Are seals better made now so that one per side will work ? Also 2 must increase the fork stiction.

I've got the number written down in my garage somewhere- are you in a hurry? You may be able to see the number if you pull the weather seal up.

Hi, the standard size is 35 x 47 x 7 and indeed you need two per leg.
Hermy in the US once supplied me with "Leak Proof Fork Seals" 35 x 47 x 10.5, they include a filler ring to make up for the missing 3.5 mm.

Remember that these are hydraulic seals, not rotary shaft seals.
