bigger tyres

can i fit bigger front tyres to my 3-1/2 sport ? i have 3.60 h 18 front tyre in my shed doing nothing ! the one on the bike now is a 3.25 h 18 front which i will need replace in the next couple of week

the 3.60 probably will mess up your rasor sharp steering, would go for a new one.... size 90/90-18 or 100/90-18 depending on the brand.

Received wisdom is that 3 1/2s like skinny tyres (they're not that powerful - less than 30 bhp at the rear wheel); remember fatter tyres mean you need to lean more ("Bike", sometime last year).

I've fitted 90/90H18 front and 100/90H18 rear Avon Roadrunners (now replaced by Roadriders) which have been fine for trackdays as well as road use.

Tyres do not improve with age whereas compounds do improve over the years.
