Took the bike out for a longer ride yesterday and I find that to get at the brake pedal I have make a conscious effort to point the toe of my boot inwards to make contact with the pedal - caught me out a few times as I went to brake as I normally would on my other bikes, I failed to make contact with the brake pedal.

Similar with the gear lever, but that was also compounded by me not having the lever high enough above the foot peg to get by boot under for up changes - so just need some adjustment there, either raise the gear lever a bit or drop the footpeg.

Seems to me that both brake pedal and gear lever need to be further outboard of the frame to suit my size 11's, guess I could look at extending them, or putting a kink in both levers.

Has anyone else encountered this, if so what did they do about it?

Much better now I have adjusted the gear lever no problem catching the end of the lever with my boot on up changes.

The brake on the other hand is still a problem, the kick start pushes my boot towards the edge of the footrest and away from the lever, looking down at the position of my foot when riding I think the pedal needs at least an inch adding to it if I am to have a pedal that is always there when I need it.

Job for the week I guess.

I have smaller feet 43/9/10 area but could not ride my Sport with Altberg boots as too thick to allow an easy gearchange.
Are your footpegs horizontal?

I recently bought myself a new pair of waterproof Spada boots as I take my Enfield Himalayan out in all winds and weathers.

I have had to adjust the pedals on all my other bikes to suit the new boots.

As I say gear changes are fine, if anything I need to drop the pedal back down a little, but with the brake I cant see any other option than to extend the width of the pedal a little.

Yes, the footrests are horizontal, I had to tweak the RH side one as it was pointing upwards a bit, perhaps the bike has been down or dropped on that side at some time.

The LH pedal was also set higher than the RH one so I brought them both down to be the same - I hate uneven footrests.

I will get there in the end, a bit like a suit if it badly fits you just dont feel comfortable in it
