Might be worth showing interest here too, PM's are not always getting through.

Hi Rich;

I'll have one (please); I'm near Reading and as an excuse to get the bike out would be happy to meet up to collect; where's midway between us (the Station Cafe at Alton is possibly a good bet...)

Cheers,

Hi Tricky,

I can't go now, as will be going up to Northumberland to attend a piece of business over the weekend.

I will get to Tea and Cakes one day. The matter of the 500 mile round trip isn't putting me off. Next year......

Mike.

Mike no worries, another time, 500 miles wow thats a long way in one day, after that journey my arms would be 2 ft longer with all this torque on tap. Chris the further away the better, i like riding my bike too. Ive just sold my other transport so my bikes going to get more use. :D

Hi Tricky;

Well, we didn't get to meet up at Tea & Cakes, so I'll send a PM to try to fix up an alternative meet. I need to get down to 3X sometime, and Poole Quay might be a possibility; meet up at 3X and ride on down one Tuesday before the event ends (runs to the end of Summertime, I believe).

See you soon,

Hi Rich;

Good to meet up with you earlier to-day, and thanks for the filter; I'm still envious over your fuel consumption... I got 125 miles before reserve and put 16 litres in after 135 miles. By my reckoning that's 38 mpg ~ nothing like so good as your 40+! Mind you, I do keep the revs around 4 - 6,000, so that probably doesn't help, but my pipe ends are a lot sootier than yours, so the mix could probably do with leaning up a fraction.

The run down was a blast however, we'll have to do it again - soon.

Good riding,

Chris, Thanks

Im always hovering around 3-4k mark sometimes lower 2.5k even I fether the throttle a lot to get a smooth ride. Have a read at one of my last posts re tuning. The BSD link.
Lets meet in a couple of weeks, i would be interested for you to ride mine and compare it too your Veloce.
Thanks for assiting me becoming a fully fledged member too.
