Kanguro Bits wanted

Post by stratos23 »

Hello,

Does anyone out there have the following for an '82 Kanguro 350:

1. Tacho - mine's just failed. Consider anything in reasonable condition (cable-driven, 80mm OD)
2. Chain guard (they eventually fall to pieces)
3. Centre Stand. Only have the side stand fitted but a centre stand would be super handy.

I'm located in NZ, so pretty much miles away from everywhere, but ships and planes do come down here every so often...

Thanks!

I have a Speedo, unfortunately.

You should have gone to the Italian meeting, loads of spares. Met two people from the penal institution next to your islands.

Look up Franco Nanni, he specialises in antipodean marsupial spares.

Like Mike said, at the Italian meeting it was all there ;)

Centrestands are hard to find but there is one in the Italian club who has made new ones to fit both square and roundtube frames. Yours is a roundtube probably?

Ahahaha... 'THe penal institution next to your islands' ...yeah, it's a pretty big penal institution ...lots of 'convicts'...!!

I assume 'the Italian Meeting' you both mention was in Europe? Unfortunately it's along way from here and I don't get over there very often. Always wanted to do the Imola Swap meet - many of my Kiwi friends in London have been going for years and picked up some real treasures there (although I hear it's not what it used to be).

I haven't heard of Franco Nanni but have dealt with Alessandro Luzzi in Italy who seems to have a lot of parts/knowledge - nice chap too! I looked for Franco Nanni, but couldn't find any contact details...?

Yes, the bike is an early round tube frame. I could of course make my own centre stand, but if something out there already exists, I'd rather put the time elsewhere.

Cheers!

I'll try and post a photo of his business card. I'll need to reduce the size first, but need a pc as my phone is rubbish.

Awesome thanks Mike - I'll drop Franco an email. Sounds like he might be a good contact for other Morini parts in the future!

Cheers!

Are you still looking for a tacho? I have just unearthed a big pile from the stock I bought from Barcelona. Not sure how much postage would be to NZ. If you are still looking I will post some pics tomorrow. Thanks Ian
