Kanguro X3 Rear Sprocket Wanted.

Post by Derek Wright »

Looking for a 520 x 42 tooth rear sprocket for my X3 model ( rear disc type).
Currently has 38 T ( steel) sprocket fitted and bit high. Not sure but think the fitting is the same as the disc road model wheel.
Buy or swap for the 38T, also have 530 x 46T aluminium sprocket from a Camel which could swap.

Apart from the earliest spoked wheel Stradas (which have 6 bolts) all Morinis use a standard 5 bolt rear sprocket fitting with the same sized central hole and bolt offsets. Sprockets are available straight out of the catalogue; obviously, dealers won't have every variation of their shelves but they should be able to get one in within a week. Just take them your old sprocket so they can measure it.

Not every tooth count is available - when I changed sprockets on my Sport (also running a 520 chain) & Kanguro the choice was 39, 43 & 47. The 39 tooth suits the Sport and 43 is great on the Kanguro which never goes off road.
