77 Strada tank

Post by Lewes96 »

I am trying to find the correct tank for my 77 Strada. Currently have the chisel edge type from an earlier model, which looks nice but isn’t quite right. Anyone have one?

I thought the chisel tank was from a late 70s Sport? Are you sure your Strada is not a Sport? :)

Very much a Strada, no stamp on the crankcase or any of the other signs. 😊

Offer a swap, I like the chisel tank but won't fit my K1

Sure, happy to swap with someone. Mine needs a paint job really as I did it myself with cans in 1983!

I might have found the correct tank for a '77, not sure if it is strada or sport. It has rounded edges on top and nno middle ridge. Fuel cap is off centre. It has been blasted in the past and no dents or scratches but lots of surface rust. Inside also needs some work but not as bad as the outside. I'll try and post pictures shortly

Brown is such a tasteful colour. I prefer red... :)
