I am after a lower leg on the speedo side for a 2C. Mine is cracked. I do have a replacement but it is from an earlier one I think without the disk carrier which although is not needed would be nice to have an original looking pair. I am also after the fork tubes which are 31.75mm if anyone has any. Thanks for your help.

As far as I know, mdinaitalia has new fork stanchions at approximately £115 each if you're an MRC member, else £128... https://www.mdinaitalia.co.uk/stanchion-mm-250.html there are 14 available. The fork seals are also generally available e.g. on eBay (Douglas may have some at mdinaitalia too).

In terms of fork lowers, Richard Parker has a pair, at least one is internally quite heavily scored - I helped him get a replacement pair which he used one of. I might also have a set however I first need to commission my 250 2C and my 125 H (T).

The fork lower you've got might be from the 125 H - they're more or less the same. The ones on the 125 H tend to be polished rather than painted black. (I'm referring to the 125 H models with the front disc brake, I've never seen or had the ones for the early drum brake models).

Where's yours cracked? and what's the condition like internally?

You're welcome to chat and/or email me pm me if that'd be useful. I hope between Richard and me we'll be able to help you obtain what you need.
Julian

I'm being slow digging them out to photograph them. Soon I promise! Seals from Brooks Barn are double lipped and save having 2 seals as original. ( post by EVGURU in the past for this info).

I didn't realise this untill after my rebuild.

So got my act together!
Photos of right hand speedo drive leg. If you watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjyERLmWX68 you can see where I have tried to measure the play between the leg and the stanchion.
One more post for the 4th photo (doesn't want to let me do 4)

Hi, sorry for the slow reply but still recovering from my latest operation. That leg is exactly the one i need. I don't think the scoring will affect it being used as the seals should do their job. If it is available, could you please contact me with a price ad details. I live near Stafford and will be going to the show if that helps. By the way, I have been watching your videos and your restoration is coming along really nice. Thanks again, Keith
