Hi. I only have one ignition key at the moment. I'm looking to get a copy cut. Will Timpsons be able to do it or do I need to source a blank key first?

Should be no problem, my local lock smith took my one and only key and cut the spare.

Had no joy with Timpsons and so interested in where your local locksmith is. I am in North Lincolnshire, is it anywhere near me?

Hi Richard,

The business is in Louth some 45 miles from you.
Jameson Shoe Repairs, tel 07535 79619
The proprietor doesn’t have blanks specifically for Moto Morini’s, however he was able to secure a close match.
From this he was able to craft a working spare.
If I remember correctly the blank he used was for a BMW!

Regards

Paul

I've found it's often best to say the key is from an older car's locking fuel cap rather than from a motorcycle as often they assume they won't have a blank and not even try/look

My loal master locksmith has never been able to help me with anything bike related and also refuses to cut blanks he hasn't supplied
Fortunately there are lots of helpful places out there that cut keys
