Plastic tank

Post by Neadethal »

The Spanish dealer I'm buying my Kanguro X1 from says it has a plastic tank, is this usual or perhaps only for non-UK bikes? Thanks for any insights

It could be from one of the accessory suppliers like Valentini etc. Standard was steel but there definitely were a few firms that made kits for Morini. Pics would help but I wouldn't let it put you off the bike so long as the rest is what you want. If it's an X or X1/X2 then standard tanks crop up for sale on ebay etc. I'm assuming you're concerned about the methanol threats?

Hi, photo attached, looks standard, perhaps he's wrong but strange error, get bike by end of weekend so all will become clear.

It is a larger capacity version of the tank made from fibreglass
