Great to hear the bike running, Matt!.. Well done you! :)

I had to do a double take when I switched on the video clip. I thought I'd come across the first ever 3½ Sport with a right foot kick starter..

Should have gone to Specsavers..

Thanks everyone

Its been quite a journey to get to here, i ended up destroying a carb trying to retrieve a snapped screw out of it.

It ended up being a blessing in disguise as it was a VHBZ25HS which didnt match with the VHB25BS which I'm guessing is why my dad always had issues with it running/not running and braking down all the time. I obviously didnt know this, i had it as it came to me and just assumed thats how they were.

So it now has a matched set of VHB25BS, one of which i found on Ebay had to strip and clean as it was in a very sorry state (it had a bug in one of the jets) refit all that.

I didnt realise that the kickstand was fouling the footpeg and when i kicked it i snapped it clean off so ive anyone has a Tarozzi lever arm lying round ill take it off your hands.

So happy to have it running besides my previous attempt 2 years ago, i dont recall it being run or ridden in the last 10+ years.

After celebrating getting the old girl going again i decided to throw everything on that i've got today. I also put on a bit of Lanogaurd rust treatment on some of the more soiled bits

Found a few bits missing which i've posted on the wanted bit, i've started on with cleaning it up a bit after discovering that that there is actually meant to be some polished parts to this bike besides the headlight and mud gaurds! The near side still needs a little bit more work, but i got distracted by starting on the wire wheels which are a bit of graft

Can someone tell me if the clocks just sit in their rubber housing? If they do how are you rectifying them coming loose?

Cheers!

The clocks are jut put in the Rubber holders.

I would pas a file on the ridges of the White carbb floats to avoid problems. If not they tend to stick to the carb bodies

Any tips to secure them? They're loose pretty loose especially the left one it spins on tickover.

I was thinking some bits of inner tube stretched over the clock to bite the rubber housing?

Your idea could work yes. Those rubber cups on yours do look pretty well knackered though. The rubbers are normally quite resilient and they hold the clocks firmly-until they don't! I've also used tape in the past but it's only a sort term fix. You can get the rubbers new and I think the modern rubber lasts longer as well. Try Mdina in UK and if they don't have them Startgomma in Italy will.
